La primera edició del Peacock Rubí Art Festival, la mostra coŀlectiva d’art contemporani organitzada per un grup de joves creadors de la ciutat amb el suport de l’Ajuntament, s’ha tancat aquest diumenge amb un balanç final molt positiu. Al voltant de 2.000 persones han passat pel Celler durant el mes que ha durat el festival, ja sigui per visitar l’exposició permanent de la Sala de Tines o per gaudir de les activitats temàtiques que s’organitzaven cada cap de setmana.
Aquest dissabte, la mostra va tenir com a protagonista la creació audiovisual, amb el passi de diverses obres de videoart, curtmetratges de ficció i documentals. Diumenge, un vermut popular amenitzat amb música electrònica va posar el punt final al festival.
Un total de 57 artistes emergents ─la meitat de Rubí─ han passat des del 18 de setembre pel Celler, on han pogut exhibir la seva obra però també intercanviar experiències, tot fomentant la connexió entre diferents disciplines i el diàleg en l’àmbit de la cultura contemporània. D’aquests autors, 35 han participat en la mostra estàtica de la Sala de Tines amb diferents manifestacions artístiques, entre les quals hi havia pintures figuratives i abstractes, escultures i instaŀlacions.
El Celler, centre de cultura contemporània
El Peacock Rubí Art Festival ha estat possible gràcies a la iniciativa d’un grup de joves creadors de la ciutat i al treball conjunt dels serveis de Cultura i Joventut, que han sumat esforços per atraure nou públic al Celler. La proposta ha gaudit d’una bona acollida per part de la població en general però molt especialment del jovent, que ha trobat en les activitats paraŀleles a l’exposició una bona excusa per acostar-se al festival. Per a Moisés Rodríguez, regidor de Cultura, “l’èxit del Peacock Rubí Art Festival ens marca una bona línia de treball. Creiem que aquesta feina conjunta i transversal entre els joves de la ciutat i les regidories de Cultura i de Joventut és un magnífic exemple del gran potencial que té Rubí”.
El responsable municipal també ha destacat que “aquest festival ens ha ajudat, a més, a refermar el nostre objectiu de convertir el Celler en un centre de cultura contemporània. Esperem que aquesta voluntat segueixi calant entre la població i que cada cop més gent, inclosa gent de fora de Rubí, s’acosti a aquest equipament tan singular per gaudir de noves manifestacions culturals”.
La gent gran s’acosta a l’art contemporani
Una desena de membres del Consell Consultiu de la Gent Gran, acompanyats per la regidora de l’àrea de Serveis a les Persones, Marta García, van realitzar dijous de la setmana passada una visita guiada pel Peacock Rubí Art Festival. Els participants van gaudir de les explicacions d’una de les joves artistes que van impulsar aquest esdeveniment cultural. Durant la visita, els integrants del Consell van conèixer la intenció i el significat de les obres exposades i fins i tot van debatre al voltant d’elles. La iniciativa els va permetre acostar-se de manera senzilla a un art contemporani que sovint els resulta incomprensible, així com entrar en contacte amb els joves creadors. Armand Estella, president del Consell, va elogiar la idea de la visita: “Sortim d’aquí amb moltes opinions diferents. He quedat molt sorprès de les idees que té la gent jove, tenen idees noves, que és el que necessita el món”.
